Way Up North

Shot and produced entirely in South Central Alaska, 'Way Up North' stabs at the heart of classic gritty machoisms in a style as unique as Alaska itself. This modern western is as hard as the unforgiving world of the north and as eccentric as the characters who decide to dwell there.

Way Up North brings you into an impressionistic world of the north’s less talked about counter culture that has a history as wild as the tales of the old west. Told entirely through song and verse this larger than life, action/rock opera will have you tapping your feet to every unspeakable act and leave you grinning for more.

The Darkness

'What do you do when the light that keeps you going reminds you of what you fear the most?' MJ RYDER had the perfect home, husband BILLY RAY RYDER and little baby JACK, life was safe. Experience the thrill ride of emotions when the illusion of her world is blown up by a surprise discovery. What creates a monster, what experiences shape the mind of our future? The Darkness crosses the line and exposes the moments where doubt and fear creep in.

The Darkness is inspired by and co-written by Director Levi A. Taylor's mother, K.T. Froehlich. The mother and son writing team based the short script off K.T.'s diaries from when Levi was a baby and his father's demons emerged in their home. The resulting traumatic experiences perhaps contributed to Levi and K.T.'s shared perception that something was haunting their family.

Before I wrote the book, The Midnight Son was an original feature screenplay and the inspiration for the majority of my short films. Today, now that my novel is completed, I am preparing to release a docudrama podcast called Madness of the Midnight Son where I take a deep dive into the inspiration of the characters in my novel and themes of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Complex PTSD.
